What prior learning or language ability will I need to be successful with the seminar?
No prior training or preparation is necessary. Seminars are designed to benefit working
professionals (including non-native speakers of English) who have a basic knowledge of
English and desire to develop stronger communication skills.
You mentioned a delivery platform. Do I need any special computer skills or technology
to take the seminar?
Delivery platforms include email, company intranet, or web based platforms such as
Blackboard. The only skill you will need is an ability to use an email program; the only
technology you will need is a computer able to connect to the Internet and download
Microsoft Word documents.
Can I take the seminar as an individual not affiliated with any company?
Absolutely.
What if I go on vacation? Can I complete the workshops before or after the assigned due dates?
With prior notice, the due dates may be adjusted to accommodate travel or vacations.
Our company needs to meet ISO 9001 2000 standards. How do you track completion and
performance?
When participants complete the seminars, we provide the company’s training coordinator a
list of those who started and finished the seminar as well as a report identifying performance,
improvement, and areas of concern.
Do participants get a certificate of completion?
Upon successful completion, participants receive a completion certificate identifying their
name, seminar title, and date of completion.
Is future support available to participants once they’ve completed a seminar?
Five weeks after seminar completion, participants receive a review of key concepts and a brief refresher on
application. Participants may email the facilitator at any time after the seminar with questions or advice on
specific projects. Detailed feedback on larger projects may entail a consulting agreement.
