December 2006

Schneider National, Inc. completes third year of web based training with a 96% improvement rate and 91% completion rate for participants in the 5 session programs. With a 30% increase in 2006 participants, Schneider National has continued to benefit from the customized training seminars. Program success can be seen in the process of measuring the behavioral change and implementing the learning as shown in the pre-and post skill evaluation. The results on the business environment continue to build on the signature “Schneider” communication style in everything from interpersonal communications to report generation to emails and presentations. Schneider National Expands Web Based Training for 2005

October 2004

After a successful launch in early 2004 of customized Business Communication seminars in web based format, Schneider National, Inc., the largest trucking company in North America, is now planning expanded course offerings for 2005. Seminar offerings have generated an overwhelming response with the July 15 and August 1 seminars filling immediately and requiring additional sections. Participant feedback has been positive with emphasis on the self-paced approach and personalized facilitator response. Considering the company interfaces with remote sites worldwide, the expanded offerings and exclusive partnership with Executive Development Seminars Online will help establish a signature business-standard quality of communication encompassing all levels and all regions within the Schneider organization.


Schneider National Launches Professional Writing Seminar

September 2004

With the successful completion of 60 participants in the Business Communication seminar during the spring and summer quarters of 2004, Schneider National, Inc. will now launch an accompanying Professional Writing seminar for the final quarter of 2004. While the Business Communication Seminar focuses on the “macro” issues of writing including focus, purpose, audience, and action, the Professional Writing seminar focuses on the “micro” issues of writing including basic grammar, language usage, and professional style. Twelve participants will inaugurate the pilot course including two non-native speakers of English.


Dominican University MBA Program Adopts Web Based Seminars

August 2003

Initiated by Chris Leeds, Dean of the School of Business, the online program at Dominican University of California is now in its second academic year of using Executive Development Seminars Online materials and facilitation exclusively for its online classes. Delivered via the Blackboard 6 platform, the Professional Writing and Business Communication seminars prepare incoming MBA candidates for academic success at the graduate level. Combining principles of current business-style writing and standard academic rigor, the customized courses offer students the flexibility of working on their own schedule while still enjoying the stimulating interaction of a classroom environment.

Currently including executive learners from seven nations and four continents, the online classes provide a supportive, interactive environment where participants enhance leadership skills by taking control of their communication. Along with case analysis study and experience based problem solving, the students produce real world documents such as policy memos, proposals, feasibility studies, and PowerPoint presentations.
